Artists get their own version of MySpace with MyArtProfile.com
Visual artists were left behind a bit when MySpace took off. It was such a good resource for musicians and subsequently had a huge, if not revolutionary, impact on the music industry. Even radio DJs have MySpace page such is the importance of being seen on the incredibly successful site.
Now visual artists have got a resource that could prove to have a similar impact their world. MyArtProfile.com allows artists to create a profile, set up galleries (public and private) and display art all for free. They can even advertise art for sale, arrange art swaps and make themselves available for commission. The site is totally free to use and no commission is taken at any time. Could this be a sign that the internet is heading back towards niche marketing again?
