SEM Store Ecommerce Customers Generate £1 Million in Sales.
Clients of SEM Solutions are bucking the trends of the current economic climate through the use of an innovative ecommerce solution - the SEM Store. The SEM Store has been developed by the team of software developers working from SEM’s office in Ashford and is currently being used by more than 20 traders to sell goods and services over the World Wide Web. The collective total of sales generated by clients using the SEM Store has recently passed the £1 million mark, a landmark that the SEM Team are extremely proud of.
In just over 3 years the SEM Store has gone from being a concept to becoming a serious tool for selling online… the team at SEM combines real-life sales and marketing expertise with specialist web development skills. Most of our business comes from referrals and recommendations says Simon. The SEM Store is selling a diverse range of goods, from antiques to mobile phones, water pumps to home furnishings.
SEM Solutions’ reputation as providers of ecommerce solutions is also growing rapidly. Important business partnerships with Rackspace and Protx have helped to build on this. Rackspace is a global leader in managed hosting and Protx is one of the leading merchant gateway providers in the UK (now owned by Sage.) SEM is currently working with Paypal to become a certified Paypal Ecommerce provider and it is anticipated that this will cause another growth spurt for the innovative Ashford-based company.
This growth has given SEM the confidence to lease more space at their offices in Henwood, Ashford. We’ve always prided ourselves on keeping our overheads, and therefore our sale prices as low as possible but it is also important that we work together in a professional business environment. An increase in staff numbers has meant we have outgrown our space but fortunately we are able to expand within the same building as another office is being vacated. We feel that Ashford is an excellent location for us as clients from London are happy to visit and we also need to use the Eurostar to visit clients that we have in France. I’m really pleased that we are able to stay here. SEM also provides bespoke web development services and professional hosting solutions. Currently they have more than 60 active clients.
